Today we’re going to show you two exercises that you can do in the shower while you’re getting ready for your day and thinking about the things that you’ve got to get done.
Now before we get started, you want to make sure that you have a non-skid surface at the bottom of your shower to avoid slips and falls. The very first thing we’re going to do place our hand firmly on an exterior wall of the shower and pull it nice, and wide. You’re going to hold it for 20 to 25 seconds, and you’re going to feel a nice opening up right here the outside of your pectoral muscles and your shoulder as well. When you’re done, switch to the opposite side and do the same thing. Place your hand firmly on the wall and open up that stretch nice and wide ‘til you feel that nice tension right here in your shoulder and your chest.
The second exercise is just a basic reach down stretch. Feet shoulder width apart facing forward, knees slightly bent, and reach down right towards the floor, nice and easy, and place your hands firmly there on the floor.
You’re going to feel a nice tense pull right here in the lower half of your hamstrings and in your calf muscles as well. If you can’t reach the floor yet give it a few days. Your muscles are going to start working and loosening up in no time.
