It’s all about speed, strength, muscles, endurance. Where they “encourage and support measures protecting the health of athletes.” That’s actually written in the Olympic Charter.
So then can someone explain to us why McDonald’s and Coca-Cola are two of their major sponsors?!
In our opinion, the largest athletic event in the world isn’t encouraging or protecting anything by serving up fast food and soft drinks at the Olympic Village.
In fact, just one 12-ounce can of Coke has 39 grams of sugars! That little can exceeds the daily-recommended limit for both men and women. Studies show consuming too much added sugar can SIGNIFICANTLY increase your risk of dying from heart disease.

And don’t get us started on the fat…
A Big-Mac has 10 grams of saturated fat, the most dangerous kind. Google it and you’ll find research linking saturated fat to obesity and high cholesterol.
So, we’re hoping that at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea they’ll be serving up better options.
