Would you pay more for food with natural flavors and colors?
According to a new survey, 88% of people would open their wallets wider for the real stuff. Paying on average 70 cents more for a naturally-flavored milk drink.
The food & beverage industry has jumped on the trend. Kraft, Nestle, Panera & Subway are removing several artificial additives and using color sources from:
- Vegetable juices
But when buying food it’s important to read labels and look our for claims like “no colors from artificial sources”. Since the FDA considers any type of added color to be artificial, even from natural sources.
