3 Reasons Why Your Scale Weight is Higher

Not happy with the number on your scale? There could be an explanation.

Here are some reasons why your scale says you’ve gained weight:

1. You are constipated

If you don’t go daily, excess stored waste can cause the scale to slowly climb. Increase your daily fiber intake to a minimum of 25 grams & include a daily probiotic to beat constipation.

2. You are retaining water

A high-sodium diet or a lack of fluid intake can cause your body to hold onto excess water. Limit sodium to less than 2,300 mg per day & aim for a minimum of 8 glasses of water daily.

3. You are building muscle

If you are losing inches, but the scale won’t budge, this could be a sign you are gaining muscle while losing body fat. Focus on measurements such as waist circumference over body weight to track health improvements.
