Spice Up Your Margarita

If the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Mexico is a delicious, freshly made margarita, then you won’t want to miss this. Chef James shares his secret to making a sparkling jalapeño margarita.

2 slices of jalapeño
2 tbsp of cilantro leaves
2 oz of fresh lime juice
1 oz of simple syrup
2 oz tequila
1 oz of cheap champagne
1 oz triple sec
salt for the rim of the glass

Place jalapeño, cilantro, lime and simple syrup in a blender, blend and set aside. Mix with tequila, triple sec and serve in a glass top with ice and finish with champagne.
