Amazon Go Lets You Walk Out With Your Food

Imagine a grocery run with no pit stops. That’s the idea behind Amazon’s new grocery store:

Amazon Go

Just enter the store by scanning your Amazon Go app. Then walk up to your desired product and place it in your bag. What you pick up will be added to your virtual cart automatically and when you’re done, you can just keep going about your day, without checkouts or lines.

Your amazon account will be charged the cost of the products through the amazon go app. The technology is based on what’s used for self-driving cars and it has been fittingly named “just walk out”.

As the first Amazon Go store prepares to go public in early 2017… There are still questions about how practical the model can be, but with 67% of American consumers still preferring to pick out their groceries personally bringing some of the convenience of online shopping to a physical store could prove to be a game-changer.
