Gyms & Healthier Foods Are Coming To The Airport

How about some light vinyasa and a mix of organic veggies to go with that plane ticket?

Yes! It appears healthy eating and wellness initiatives are finally making their way to the one place that can lift the zen out of anyone: the airport!

Better-for-you foods, like poke bowls and tossed organic salads, are starting to become mainstays at various airports across the country. Not only that, but yoga and meditation rooms are making an appearance as well. With airports in San Francisco, Chicago and London leading the way, there are even companies like Roam Fitness that are betting big on this trend. The start-up is opening its first airport gym at Baltimore-Washington International, and has plans to add locations at five other us airports.

So next time you fly, you might get a chance to give your legs and your mind a decent stretch before they get both get crammed in coach!
