Consumer-advocacy group CSPI recently filed a lawsuit against PepsiCo, owner of Naked Juice, accusing the beverage giant of misleading consumers through false advertising. Here are the facts so you can decide…

For example, take the company’s Pomegranate Blueberry juice. The label reads no sugar added, but a small bottle packs almost 50% more sugar than a 12-ounce can of Pepsi. Yes, you heard right: 50% more.

CSPI points to products like Naked’s Kale Blazer. The bottle is covered with leafy-greens, but the juice is mostly orange and apple, with a very low percentage of actual Kale in it.

Shady, shady, shady!

Ironically, at about the same time the lawsuit was filed, PepsiCo pledged to significantly cut the fat, salt and sugar in its products by 2025.
